Originality and innovativeness of proposed objectives

Proposed objectives respect the fact that fault location in 22 kV network is complex problem and its solution needs the utilization of all available information, which can be obtained from 22 kV network. The emphasis by objectives’ selection was put on those problems that had been overlooked by other methods. One of them is the problem of evaluation of secondary values of instrument transformers and their transmission to control information system, because the data acquisition in 22 kV networks mainly works on change principle, what makes impossible to use data obtained like this for precise calculation used by several methods. The inclusion of investigation of fault location in power lines with both cable and overhead sections is also innovative, because existing methods have been developed only for purely cable or overhead power lines. Also the fault location of multiple faults has not been solved in up to now presented methods. Furthermore the idea to utilize an expert system for fault location is innovative too.
