Aims and objectives:
Summary applications of knowledge from communication systems, commutation systems and fail-safe information transmission. Orientation in realisation of network functions by technical and programmable means for particular types of services in telecommunication networks.
Course content:
Abstract of network theory. Functional architecture of communication networks. Functions, characteristics and interfaces of network nodes. Transmission forms in network. Network design. Network management. Distributed architecture of network management. Specification and implementation of HW and SW network tools. Network functions realisation. Standardisation in communication networks. Harmonisation of communication network services. Management of operation and maintenance of communication networks. Computer-aided network design.
